A taste of why I love lunch hour

Lately I have been doing a lot of lunch running. It was just the way through winter and this wet spring. I was experiencing the "runners high" and it kept me coming back for more. The urge to get out and bike has been there but not as crazy as in years gone by. I have had great commute rides on the fixed gears and a few lunch rides too just the drive has not been quite the same. So I ran, and I ran, and I ran and experienced the fun in running. It has truly been great.

Yesterday Paul said to bring in the MTB today as it has been dry for two days. I was a little nervous about weak legs after the Marathon Sunday but what the hay I brought it in. The morning commute was awesome. High cadence + extreme oxygenation high. Then I made my way through the morning hungrier than usual.

Then came lunch time....



Yeah I think I just had a taste of the preverbial Herroine of MTB. I may not be running for a while (I likely will tho). Talk at ya later... I'm out.... Might just go riding again ;-) If original video does not work in your location try this one... (Thanks EMI for region censorship)

Run where the deer run...

Had a fun run in the woods as is shown below. The night before I was standing 8 feet from 2 deer and we were staring at each other. My dunce pug was there too and did not even notice the deer. It was the dog jumping that finally scared those interesting large creatures back into the woods.

Part way through the next day I decided to take a run back into the woods. While running I saw the deer once and heard them another time. Unfortunately I did not get them on film. I searched frame by frame through the section it should have been in. Apparently I turned my eyes instead of my head. eh-well. It was a fun run but then I ran out of deer tracks to run in and sank past my knees. I probably should not have ran in the only jeans I had with me but who thinks of that when they head into the woods.

Anyway fun run in deep melting snow provided me with wet boots, socks, and jeans. What else could one ask for?? I'm out....

Awesome Slow Snow Commute

Todays started just amazing.Woke up to a lighter room than yesterday no rain. Looked out at a world of white. My wife was slightly worried about me riding in the rain that turned to freezing-rain and then into snow. It was going to be slick. I was excited but masked it and said i would take it easy and be safe. I did in fact plan to do so. I ate breakfast got ready and was off...


It was amazing passing by all the traffic even the stuck bus trucks and snowplows. Too bad I did not clear the lens one more time. I got to the office and let my wike know I was safe. My adrenaline was still running after my shower. I kinda want to leave and go ride in that some more.

Early Birthday present yesterday. Rain was melting all the snow. Played with it a little but no real video making. Decided today to go out and play with my new toy. Yeah I am just a big kid...

Glad we got some overnight snow to play with. Thanks old man winter!!
